Tunneling Dameware Mini Remote Control over WinSSHd
Here's a slick method of tunneling Dameware Mini Remote Control over SSH, between 2 Windows machines.
Here's a simple diagram of what we're doing:

BitVise WinSSHd and Tunnelier are available here.
On Tunnelier, configure the following C2S (Client to Server) forwarding ports:
See here for more info on running Dameware through a firewall. See here on installing and configuring the MS Loopback Adapter.
137,138,139 for NetBios
6139 default Dameware port
Dameware can use port 445 CIFS but falls back to SMB and works fine.
ScreenCap: Tunnelier port forwarding configurationEnable port forwarding in Tunnelier on the C2S Fwding tab. The destination host can be 127.0.0.1 if you want to Dameware into the SSH endpoint, or any hostname or IP on the SSH endpoint network, as required.
Note: With the security settings changes to Windows XP SP2, you may need to install the Windows Loopback adapter.
That's it. Have fun.NOTE: Product names, logos, brands, and other trademarks mentioned or referred to on this site are the property of their respective trademark holders.
